“On April 17th and 18th, the first camp of the Don Bosko – Losenets football team was held in the town of Kazanlak. The goal of the event was for the team members to build team relationships in a diverse environment, have fun together and appreciate the results achieved over the past year.
To achieve this goal, on Friday afternoon, after an intensive training session and a fun football match, we had the opportunity to share dinner and an evening of games. The “musical bingo” helped not only to sing and win prizes, but also to spend moments of spontaneity, joy and friendship. The moment of prayer and sharing before going to bed was also important to offer the team a broader vision of what they do, beyond football and in view of their life project and what the Don Bosko Bulgaria Foundation can offer for their overall development.
The next day, after a delicious breakfast, we went on an excursion to the Megalith in the village of Buzovgrad. During this walk, we discovered how important it is to “walk together”. At the top of the mountain, we lit a fire and prepared our lunch. We had the cheerful company of a Roma family who also enjoyed the walk, taking advantage of the good weather. The walk reached its peak with the view offered by the rocks of Megalith, where, after a photo session, the team enjoyed a wonderful view.
After this meeting, we are convinced that we can continue to bet on
the importance and beauty of sport, aimed not only at victories on the field, but also at achieving overall development, which will lead to the true happiness of these 10 young people.”
