On 21.04.2026, young people from the Don Bosko Center, Stara Zagora, took part in the sports event: The 45th State Championship of the Bulgarian Sports Federation for Children and Youth at Risk “Sports Accessible to All Children” The Championship took place in Sofia.
Many teams from all over Bulgaria competed in various disciplines such as: football, basketball, badminton, table tennis, running.
The boys’ football team from the foundation took part in
several matches, and the girls competed in the basketball tournament.
Some of the children participated in the running competition, and we can happily say that we returned with medals.
Maria Todorova won first place in the girls’ running, and
Yanko Yankov took second place in the boys’ running.
The children participated with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship.”

The ESC volunteer Georgi Kavarkov – Gope, who is the coach of the foundation’s team – “Don Bosko – Lozenets” and takes care of the good shape of the football players twice every week, also played a special role in the championship. Georgi works in Stara Zagora on the project “Education – Key to a Better Future”, 2025-1-BG01-ESC51-VTJ-000346438, co-financed by the EC program “European Solidarity Corps”
