“The fifth meeting of the animation course was held from December 5th to 7th in the town of Kazanlak. It was dedicated to a deeper dive into pedagogy, psychology and teamwork – basic elements for our future activities as animators. During the meeting, we watched and discussed a film together related to various educational methods and pedagogical approaches. Part of the program was also dedicated to topics from personality psychology and age psychology, with an emphasis on the ages we will work with.
The topics were led by a psychologist, which made the conversations more meaningful and useful, as we had the opportunity to ask questions and receive professional answers. The big game contributed to our better fit as a team and helped us discover the strengths and talents of each participant. The evening program was also special – through a game for personal reflection, everyone had the opportunity to think about their values, personality and place in the community.
It was a meeting filled with emotions. The course continues in full force and we are now boldly moving towards its completion. We only have two more meetings left!”
Katerina Stancheva, head of the animation courses
The course was mainly led by our two volunteers from the European Solidarity Corps – Marie Anna Kapicova and Georgi Kavarkov, who are working on the project “Education – the key to a better future”, 2024-1-BG01-ESC51-VTJ-000223373 and 2025-1-BG01-ESC51-VTJ-000346438, co-financed by the EU – ESC program.
