“On October 21st, we were invited to the state championship of the Bulgarian Federation for Children and Youth at Risk in Sofia. We went with 6 boys who played football and 3 girls who played athletics. The weather did not surprise us and was as we expected, cool and pleasant, as it is in Sofia this season. The event started with athletics. There we had a chance for second place, but it slipped away due to the fatigue of our participants, but next time we will be better prepared. After the athletics, the football matches started and at the same time basketball and table tennis, where, however, we did not have any children registered. In football, our boys played hard and concentrated, but still did not manage to win. This did not dampen our spirits either and we continued to have fun until the awards ceremony came. We were sincerely happy for the young people who took their top places in the rankings and congratulated them.
After that, already hungry and tired, we ate lunch provided by the organizers and laughed at the memories we had created on the same day. Fed and tired, we left Sofia for Stara Zagora. With losses, but with memories and stories of the good times.”
