The girls who attend the Don Bosko center were eagerly awaiting the summer camp, which was held this year in the town of Belene.
We talked about friendship all the time, and Princess Jasmine and the Genie from “Aladdin and the Magic Lamp” accompanied us in the themes and games, and showed us how much fun we can have together. We made Armenian jewelry, bunnies, and each girl made a full-length figure of another of her friends.
We visited the island of “Persin”, where we learned a lot about Bulgarian history and the construction of the concentration camp in Belene. Then we had the opportunity to observe nature and the birds that live there.
We took a walk to see the Danube River. On the remaining days, we were able to enjoy a swimming pool in the village of Oresh. We ended the program by finding a treasure and freeing Genie from the magic lamp. We couldn’t wait to see what the next one would bring us. year.”

“We had a great time with the children in Belene. We played games.
In my case, I taught them how to make Armenian jewelry. They really liked it.
We sometimes prepared and served food together.
It is true that we played a lot outside, but the children also came to my room, to me, in my room we started playing again, talking, sharing, having fun.
I miss those times a lot.
Life is wonderful for me when I work with children.”
