Summer Scauts camp 30th of June – 04th of July 2025, village of Malchika

From June 30th to July 4th, the Stara Zagora Scout Group held its summer camp in the village of Malchika, Pleven Region. Fourteen boys from two different patrols participated, along with the regular team of adult guides and two volunteers from the Czech Republic – Anička Jiřičková and Nicol Matáková, who participated in the summer activities.
A major change of this camp was that for the first time the Scouts arrived at the base of the activities by train. Both the journey there and the return journey were made by public transport, which was sometimes an adventure for the boys, and sometimes a challenge.
The camp program varied between games, Scout exercises and Scout training activities. For two days there were also activities at the swimming pool in the village of Oresh. There was also a charity day, in which the Scouts helped families in the village with various
tasks.
With this camp, the established patrols complete an important stage and prepare for a new period of learning, fun and friendship next year.”

Main organizer of the camp was also Antonin Šikula, who worked for 11 months in Stara Zagora on the project “Education – Key to a Better Future”, 2024-1-BG01-ESC51-VTJ-000223373, co-financed by the EU program “European Solidarity Corps”. Tonda participated in the organization “behind the scenes”, he could not join the camp because at the same time the training “For Mid-Term Evaluation” of the agency that administers the ESC in Bulgaria – “Human Resources Development Center” /RHDC/ was being held.
