Summer camp for girls, 14 – 21st of July 2025, Kavakliyka hut

“Each of us went to camp with different attitudes and expectations, some were more timid, while others were ready for adventures. Until the moment we all got together and started getting to know each other. From then on, a whole week of fun and games began. The days passed easily, imperceptibly, filled with surprises and lots and lots of laughter. Personally, I really liked that in addition to games, we had the opportunity to teach the children what friendship is and who our best friend is – Jesus. We managed to show the girls that He is a friend to everyone and always supports. Our camp began with acquaintances, and I knew from experience that by the end of the week they would become inseparable friends. Every day we had different topics related to friendship, with which we tried to help the children be better and happier. These topics were followed by games on the topic of the day, because personally, in my opinion, children understand most easily if you show them through play. The girls had a small task set for them at the beginning of the camp to help two quarreling friends make up. By the end of the week, they were able to help them through what they learned, and so they learned their own lessons. We also went on a “little walk” (which for some of the children seemed like climbing peak Musala). On it, I personally talked to everyone and learned interesting things about them. During the hike, we had a liturgy, I really liked the idea of praying outdoors and I think everyone else felt the same way. For me, being part of the team was a unique experience and a bit of a challenge. Ever since I was little, I dreamed of being able to give the children what I was able to get from these camps, which left eternal traces in my memory, as an inseparable bright part of my childhood. I had a lot of fun, learned a lot, and learned a lot more. This camp, like the previous ones, left a precious memory and I can’t wait to go again next year.”
