Each of us wants to have friends. How to recognize good friends, how to live a true friendship and who is our best friend? These were the questions we tried to answer during this year’s camp for boys at the Kavakliyka hut. Each day of the camp we were accompanied by a hero. Our guides were friends of Jesus. On the first day of the program we were accompanied by Martha and Maria with Lazarus, who taught us hospitality. The next day was dedicated to the trials that come with every friendship. Our example was Saint Peter, who himself experienced many trials and taught us the importance of forgiveness. From the new Saint Carlo Acutis we learned that it is possible to live a beautiful and true friendship in today’s world. On the last day we discovered that our best and closest friend can be Jesus himself.
During the camp, we experienced a lot of games and fun, completed many tasks and managed to learn friendship in practice.”

The main organizers of the camp were Antonin ŠIkula, Brandon Figuera, Marcos Dalla cia and Georgi Kavarkov.
Antonin 3ikula has been working for 11 months in Stara Zagora on the project – “Education – the key to a better future”, 2024-1-BG01-ESC51-VTJ-000223373, co-financed by the EU program “European Solidarity Corps”, administered in Bulgaria by the Human Resources Development
Center /HRDC/.
In addition to the organizers, two students from Ukraine, currently studying at Jabok University in Prague, Czech Republic – Hana Holovko and Viktoria Orlianska, as well as animators from the animator courses organized by the foundation and the Salesians of Don Bosko, also joined the camp as helpers.
