“On June 1st – the Children’s Day, the children from the Don Bosko Bulgaria Foundation, as a reward for the most points received at the Don Bosko Center in April and May, went on a walk to the town of Kazanlak.
There they visited the Rosarium Park, then played a special game in the park, organized by two Czech volunteers from the Jabok University in Prague.
Then they eagerly participated in the organized activities in the park – they danced and had fun.
There was a small picnic, and then we went to the house-museum of Nenko Balkanski. There the children had the opportunity to make a portrait of him from natural materials, as well as to “paint” with flowers, leaves and grasses.
Everyone joined in with great desire and imagination.
After all these interesting activities, the children participated in a prayer for
gratitude and health, organized by Father Petr Nemec, in the Catholic Church “St. Joseph” in Kazanlak.
At the end of this day filled with wonderful emotions, all the tired heroes returned home safely in the town of Stara Zagora.
The other volunteers also took part in the walk – Vaclav Vencl, ESC volunteer, Natalie Fejcova, ESC volunteer, and Georgi Kavarkov and Katerina Stancheva, Bulgarian volunteers.”
