“The members of the “Wolf-cups” patrol held their first camp at the base in the town of Kazanlak during the weekend of February 28 till March 2., 2025. Ten boys between the ages of 11 and 14 actively participated in the various adventures.
On Friday, the scouts from the “Don Bosko” CICES in Stara Zagora arrived at the camp base, shared dinner, learned the rules of the camp and started the first round of games of the meeting.
Saturday’s program consisted of a walk in the mountains, an outdoor lunch and a visit to the panoramic site “Megalith” on the outskirts of the village of Buzovgrad, in the Sredna Gora mountain.
In the afternoon, the scouts had a training session on the topic “The Scout Law”. After dinner, they participated in the evening games.
Sunday was the closing of the meeting, a very important meeting for these boys, since after it the patrol “Wolfs-cups” was already constituted as such, joining the entire scout group of the Center “Don Bosko” city of Stara Zagora, together with the older patrols – “Valley of the Wolves” and “Brave Tigers”.
The main organizer and leader of the camp was the ESC volunteer Antonin Sikula – Tonda, working in Bulgaria on the long-term project “Education – a key to a better future”, co-financed by the EU program “European Solidarity Corps”.
