From 3. till 5. of November 2023, the last meeting of our course for animators took place. It was filled with many games, most of which were indoors due to the bad weather that occurred. This coincidence quite has enriched our knowledge about games in small spaces. The last topics were related to communication, how important feedback is and most of all – we ourselves analyze the games we play to understand which game, when is appropriate. Surely this course will be greatly missed by all of us, but we will continue to maintain our friendships at future events organized by the Salesians and the Don Bosco Bulgaria Foundation, and not only.”
“Although we did not meet very often, it is strange to me that this was the last. Somehow I was used to the fact that in a few months we would see each other and be together. Although so different, I got used to the simplicity of Krasi, the laughter of Kiko and Vasquesa. I was used to the girls on Saturday nights eating Zrancho and talking. I was used to Fanda’s strange mangies and I couldn’t wait for Marushka’s afternoon cupcake. I was used to the dark humor of Tsvrchek and Sister Nadia. I was used to beating Mario of jaggies. I was used to you knocking me out of bed every time to get up. I was also used to the thought that I would come and see you and play games and sing songs and for a moment I would stop thinking about life outside the course. But here is the end, as much as I can’t believe it. As they say every good thing has a beginning and an end, and after it comes something even better. Thank you for everything to each and every one of you and see you again! I wrote it on the bus on the Kazanlak – Stara Zagora road with tears and snot.”
The main organizerс of the course were the volunteers from the European Solidarity Corps Ivan Dashkevich and Natalie Feitsova, who work in Stara Zagora under the project “Education – key to a better future”, 2022-1-BG01-ESC51-VTJ-000080282, co-financed by the Program of EC EKS, as well as the two Bulgarian volunteers who work at the “Don Bosco” Center, Stara Zagora – Katerina Stancheva and Gopeto. Thank you very much for your help!
