In addition to the program, fun games and delicacies, we celebrated International Women’s Day with an initiative that our team sees as practical, useful and necessary. Here is what our guest Dr. Joanna Brusarska shared:
“This year, the Salesian fathers invited me to give a short talk on Oral Health in Infants and Children on the occasion of March 8 (Women’s Day).
As a dentist, it is very important to me that every parent is familiar with the basics of oral health.
With this talk, I aimed to explain to mothers that it is important to take care of oral hygiene in babies, even before teething.
The same applies to children with deciduous dentition, children with mixed dentition and children with permanent dentition, because oral hygiene is one of the most important to prevent caries and its complications.
My recommendation to every parent is to instill in the child the habit of brushing his teeth in the morning and evening, with circular movements and moderate pressure, to go regularly for preventive examinations and to eat properly. “
